Patikim NYC
Case Studies

Creative Process and Strategy
Photographing Patikim NYC’s Filipino BBQ pop-ups, I aimed to capture not only the soul of the food and the energy of the street-level dining experience but also the artistry and independent spirit of Chef Erika Costa. Using natural light and handheld shooting, I stayed responsive to the fast-paced environment, focusing on rich textures, grill-side action, and vibrant plating.
My approach highlighted Chef Erika’s deep commitment to her Filipino heritage and her skillful craftsmanship, showcasing how her cultural roots and personal vision come alive in every dish. The imagery celebrates the community-driven spirit that defines Patikim’s unique presence in Brooklyn’s pop-up food scene, reflecting both tradition and bold innovation.
Outcome
These images and videos were used across social media to promote Chef Erika’s upcoming pop-up events and private catered dinners, helping build anticipation and connect with a growing audience eager to experience her culinary artistry.
