Claude, NYC

Case Studies

Creative Process and Strategy

The approach focused on telling the complete story of a private event at Claude — from the room to the plate to the people in it. I built the visual narrative around three layers: the space, capturing the lighting, table settings, and architectural details that set the tone; the kitchen, showcasing the chefs in action and the craft behind every dish; and the guests, documenting real moments of connection, conversation, and enjoyment as people experienced the evening.

Using natural and ambient lighting, I moved between wide compositions that established the mood and intimate close-ups of plating, expressions, and interaction. Shooting during a live event allowed me to capture the energy and warmth that a styled shoot can't replicate — the kind of imagery that makes someone looking at it want to book the space for themselves.

Project Description/Goals

Claude is an intimate, upscale restaurant in NYC looking to highlight their space as a destination for private events. The shoot took place during a live private event, capturing not just the space and food but the full experience — guests enjoying the evening and chefs at work bringing it all together.
