Bad for Business Banana Ketchup
Case Studies

Project Description/Goals
This portrait series features a subject enjoying classic American comfort foods—corndogs, hot dogs, fries, and more—paired with Bad For Business’s banana ketchup, a traditional Filipino condiment. The goal was to create authentic, relatable imagery that celebrates cultural fusion by showing how Filipino flavors can elevate everyday American dishes.
Shot with a focus on candid expression and natural moments, the series highlights the brand’s bold personality and its role in bridging diverse culinary traditions. These images were designed to engage social media audiences by telling a visual story of inclusivity, flavor exploration, and cultural appreciation.
Creative Process and Strategy
This project combined product and commercial photography to showcase Bad For Business’s Filipino-inspired banana ketchup with a bold, contemporary edge. I focused on clean compositions, rich textures, and punchy color palettes—often using a striking blue background—to highlight the product’s vibrant identity. Prior to the shoot, I conducted a test shoot to explore which classic American foods the ketchup would pair well with, ensuring the final images felt authentic and appetizing.
By blending stylized product shots with lifestyle-driven scenes, the imagery captures both cultural authenticity and the brand’s playful, rebellious spirit—creating a strong visual narrative fit for campaign and editorial use.
